Beta Alpha Psi presents Shawn Gorinson: "Transitioning from Public to Private Accounting"

Monday, October 7, 2013 at 4:30pm to 5:30pm

De La Salle, Room 300 - Capalbo Room 4513 Manhattan College Pkwy., Bronx, NY 10471

Shawn Gorinson of the Execu-search Group will speak about his experience in the public and private accounting fields. Business casual attire is required. Food and Beverages will be served. 2 Passport points and optional JPS.

Below is Shawn Gorinson's bio:

He was an accounting major and a BAP member which helped him find an internship at PwC through the Manhattan College Career Center. That internship turned into a offer which is where he started his career after he graduated in 2008. He worked at clients all over the tri-state area first starting in Non-Financial Services and then moving into Banking and Capital Markets, and after two years decided to explore the private side and made a move into Deutsche Bank. He worked there for about a year and a half until he decided to change his career into sales. His recruitment gave him a smooth transition into that with his accounting background. He has been doing this now for about a year and a half and loves what he does.

He lives on the upper west side and has really enjoyed living and working in Manhattan over the past year. He loves to play golf and frequently play at Van Cortlandt Park golf course.
