Artist Talk with Shaun El C. Leonardo

Shaun El C. Leonardo, visual and performance artist, will give a talk sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and LiteraturesUrban Studies, Women and Gender Studies, and the Manhattan College Diversity Committee.

Born and raised in Queens to Guatemalan and Dominican parents, Shaun will discuss images of Latino masculinity and pop culture iconography in his work. He will also be discussing how the urban landscape of New York City informs his practice. His work is currently on view at el Museo del Barrio and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Come out to support Hispanic Heritage month! This event is open to the public.
